Real Sociedad was founded on September 7, 1909, and it is one of only nine historic Spanish teams that have never competed in a division lower than the Spanish Second Division.
The Real Sociedad has updated its image under the influence of political events. Having received the crown from King Alfonso XIII, he was forced to give it up when the government changed in the country.
Sometime later, the club returned its badge, placing it at the top of the logo. Over the years, the design of the crown changed – it was either tower or open, with a red pillow inside.
Other emblem elements were similarly transformed: a giant soccer ball, a white and blue striped flag, and a diagonally extended flagpole.
And yet, they have not disappeared anywhere, so Real Sociedad can be considered one of the most conservative clubs in Spain.

The Anoeta stadium was initially inaugurated on July 29, 1993, celebrating the European Junior Athletics Championships.
