Zelda’s popularity has given rise to several incarnations of the original plot and, thus, of Link; the character made his first appearance in the eponymous title as an epic hero who fights against evil.
In addition to Nintendo video games, Link has been incorporated into various products, ranging from comic books to animated television series.
Link is generally described as a young Hylian who lives in the kingdom of Hyrule. In his early days, he appeared as an austere Swordsman.
But with the passage of time and the release of new games, his age (ranging from ten to twenty years old), appearance and identity have been subject to constant variations.
However, some characteristics of the character have remained unchanged: for example, he always wears a green tunic and cap, a pair of boots, a sword, and a shield.
As the game progresses, Link acquires various items, including hooks, boomerangs, bombs, a bow, and different types of arrows, masks, capes, boots, and more powerful swords.
He is the most well-known being Master Sword and different types of musical instruments (the Ocarina and the Flute are a couple of examples), among others.
It should be noted that, as the bearer of the Triforce of Courage, he possesses an extraordinary level of bravery, also serving as protection against dark magic.
The Legend of Zelda’s main character’s primary objective is to travel through Hyrule to defeat evil creatures and forces, including the franchise’s main antagonist, Ganondorf while seeking to rescue Princess Zelda and, ultimately, his home.

Link is considered the best hero in all of “Nintendo”. He is also a modest and humble guy but possesses legendary bravery, an attribute very consistent with his role as the bearer of the Triforce of Courage.
In various games, he has been given different titles, such as the “Hero of Time” at his first birth in the titles Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask and the “Hero of the Winds” in The Wind Waker, as his heroic example has saved countless lives from evil.
He is the rightful bearer of the legendary Master Sword, which he uses to defeat evil. The Link also has his moments of reckless bravery, such as the two times he attempted to take on Ganondorf in The Wind Waker and once in Ocarina of Time without being ready or having any chance to defeat him.
